Artist and Designer
I explore design through visual storytelling and structure.
Featured Work
This oil self-portrait explores identity through bold color contrast and stylized realism. The face is painted entirely in layered shades of blue, shifting the focus from natural skin tone to form, shadow, and mood. The blank lenses of the oversized glasses create a sense of introspection, while the hoop earrings and beaded necklace add texture and personal detail. A vivid green background, blended in soft circular motions, contrasts with the cool blues of the figure. I began with a sketched outline, blocked in major color areas, and gradually built depth through layered oil paint and careful blending, balancing smooth facial transitions with more expressive brushwork in the background.
Design Process
This denim tote bag was created from an old pair of jeans, reflecting my approach to design through transformation and intentional reuse. I begin my creative process by studying the original material—its structure, seams, and natural wear—then reimagine how those existing elements can shape something new. Instead of discarding imperfections, I incorporate them as character, allowing pockets, stitching, and hardware to guide the final form. From sketching initial ideas to carefully deconstructing and reconstructing the fabric, my process is hands-on and experimental, balancing function with personal expression.
